Thoughts after a rare moment of work

Sometime, possibly in the 1960s, someone took the documents I am trying to list, which are mostly foolscap pages, folded them into little bundles, and put labels on explaining what they are. This makes them easy to pack into boxes. It does not, however, make them easy to unfold and read. If the documents are carbon copies, it is even more difficult to unfold and read them without tearing them.

This person has made lots of work for a conservator, who will have to - I believe the word is 'relax' them.

Another plea to those of you who might inadvertently create historically interesting documents. If you are old-fashioned enough to write your documents instead of typing them, use a pen with a thin nib. Thick lines are harder to read.
